Eis uma boa nova para quem sempre torceu o nariz para a telinha diminuta do Apple Watch. De acordo com o site 9To5Mac, a nova versão do relógio inteligente deve trazer uma tela consideravelmente maior do que a do Series 3.
Ao analisar uma imagem prévia do gadget divulgada pela Maçã, o referido site chegou à conclusão de que o Apple Watch Series 4 terá uma resolução de 384x480; para efeitos de comparação, o modelo atual tem 312x390.
O novo valor seria alcançado por um redimensionamento de pelo menos três pontos: o recolhimento um pouco maior da moldura, um aumento leve no tamanho da tela e, por fim, uma maior densidade de pixels. Em testes conduzidos como Apple Watch Simulator e uma versão Beta do Xcode, o 9To5Mac chegou à conclusão de que o monitor do novo relógio deve trazer pelo menos 345 PPI.
Inconveniente para os desenvolvedores
Naturalmente, o redimensionamento também deve implicar novas “faces”, com design projetado especificamente para um display que ocupe a quase totalidade de porção frontal do aparelho. “Isso deve trazer novas complicações, tanto para os aplicativos embutidos pela própria Apple quanto para aqueles desenvolvidos por terceiros”, disse o já célebre Guilherme Rambo em seu texto.
Para ilustrar o tipo de inconveniente que pode ser enfrentado por desenvolvedores, Rambo gerou no simulador do Watch uma imagem do aplicativo de calculador, o PCalc, já devidamente recondicionado às novas configurações (confira abaixo). No caso, o redimensionamento não ocorreu de forma automática, já que os botões do app possuem dimensões fixas, gerando sobras nos lados. “Mas isso deve ser fácil de consertar”, apostou o editor.

A Apple deve apresentar seus novos iPhones e Watches durante evento previsto para ocorrer durante o próximo dia 12, com novos conteúdos (provavelmente) chegando logo em seguida.
This is a good news for those who have always twisted their noses into the tiny screen of Apple Watch. According to the 9To5Mac site, the new version of the smart watch should bring a considerably larger screen than the Series 3.
When analyzing a previous image of the gadget released by Apple, said website has come to the conclusion that the Apple Watch Series 4 will have a resolution of 384x480; for comparison purposes, the current model is 312x390.
The new value would be achieved by a scaling of at least three points: a slightly larger collapse of the frame, a slight increase in screen size and, finally, a higher pixel density. In tests conducted like the Apple Watch Simulator and a beta version of Xcode, the 9To5Mac has come to the conclusion that the new clock's monitor should bring at least 345 PPI.
Inconvenient for developers
Of course, the resizing should also involve new "faces", with design designed specifically for a display that occupies almost the entire front portion of the device. "This should bring new complications, both for the applications built by Apple itself and those developed by third parties," said the well-known Guillaume Rambo in his text.
To illustrate the kind of inconvenience that can be faced by developers, Rambo generated in the Watch simulator an image of the calculator application, PCalc, which has been properly reconditioned to the new configurations (see below). In this case, the resizing did not occur automatically, since the buttons of the app have fixed dimensions, generating leftovers on the sides. "But that must be easy to fix," the publisher said.
