A OnePlus vai lançar o que promete ser o primeiro smartphone com tecnologia 5G na Europa, em meados do ano que vem. Em entrevista para o The Verge, o CEO da empresa, Pete Lau, informou que os planos da companhia envolvem colocar na Europa um aparelho já preparado para o novo padrão ainda no primeiro semestre de 2019.

Na entrevista, ele explica que, apesar de ainda não haver uma demanda por aparelhos 5G no continente, uma vez que operadoras devem entrar no território também só ano que vem, os consumidores esperam da OnePlus uma postura de empresa de ponta na região. Logo, seria importante para a marca participar da primeira leva de aparelhos com o novo padrão no país.

Para isso, ele afirma que a empresa já está em contato com companhias telefônicas na região para lançar o aparelho já com planos compatíveis, motivo pelo qual mostra confiança em dizer que o OnePlus 5G deve ser o primeiro com a tecnologia na Europa.

Embora não tenha informado mais nada, ele apenas confirmou que o aparelho também será compatível com o padrão 4G e que deve manter ainda a linha de smartphones só com o padrão atual por conta da falta de disponibilidade do 5G.

 

Atualmente, a OnePlus segue nesta corrida com outros aparelhos que já buscam o pioneirismo no mercado 5G. Além dela, a Samsung já informou que está trabalhando em um smartphone com o novo padrão. Rumores apontam que o aparelho da sul-coreana deve chegar ao mercado em março.

Outra que está investindo já neste nicho é a Huawei. A chinesa informou que seu device com tela dobrável deve chegar neste ano, já compatível com o padrão 5G.

Junto deste time também está a Motorola. A empresa anunciou em agosto o Moto Z3, aparelho que pode receber o Snap de modem, que o tornaria compatível com 5G. Este acessório, contudo, ainda não foi lançado nem tem data para chegar ao mercado oficialmente. A previsão de lançamento é para o início de 2019.

Another one that is already investing in this niche is Huawei. The Chinese said that its device with foldable screen should arrive this year, already compatible with the standard 5G.

Next to this team is also Motorola. The company announced in August the Moto Z3, which can receive the modem Snap, which would make it compatible with 5G. This accessory, however, has not yet been released nor has it date to officially reach the market. The launch forecast is for early 2019.
